Boarding, Grooming & Daycare

The Avon Lake Animal Care Center is a pet resort with lodging and doggie daycare. It is located at 123 Miller Road, right across from the Animal Clinic. We are a member of the American Boarding Kennel Association and follow the guidelines set forth by this organization.

Grooming Services

Grooming is currently located in the Animal Clinic building. Six certified groomers are available and trained in grooming, bathing, hair coloring and stenciling. Anything from a standard breed appropriate grooming to a more unique styling is available. Boarding & Doggie Day Care

Pet boarding is available in King, Queen and Super Single sized housings. Housing accommodations are fiberglass raised units with Natural light through large overhead skylights. Outdoor playtime is available in large grassy play areas. A technician is on staff 24 hours a day for your pets safety. On staff are two licensed veterinary technicians and veterinarians are in the facility daily for routine services and to monitor any signs of illness from our guests. The cattery is separate from the doggie area and has a large fresh water fish tank and climbing trees for playtime activity.

The doggie daycare area is separate from the boarding guests and has artificial outdoor turf, play equipment and toys, and a bone shaped pool for your pet’s outdoor fun. Trained technicians are on staff and monitoring groups of no more than 15-20 visitors per group. The pets are split into large and smaller dog play groups and watched closely to be sure all activity is friendly and acceptable. Prescreening of daycare visitors and routine vaccines and veterinary care is required. If a tired dog is a happy dog then your pet will come home after a session of daycare very happy!

New Construction - Avon Lake Animal Care Center

Currently under construction (to be completed November 2008), is the new 30,000 square foot Animal Care Center. The new Pet Resort and Doggie Daycare Center will be located on Lake Road, next to the current Animal Care Center.
