Dr. Huppe has been a valuable member of the Avon Lake Animal Clinic team since the summer of 2008. She brings to us special interests in physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, and pain management. She is dedicated to pursuing continuing education in her field. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cornell University in 2003, her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University in 2007, completed a small animal rotating internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists from 2007-2008, her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Tennessee in 2011, qualifying her to work with patients with special orthopedic and neurological needs, and her Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 2013.
Dr. Huppe is a lifetime member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honors Society and she earned the American Association of Feline Practitioners Recognition Award in 2007. She is also an active member of a number of prestigious veterinary groups including: International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, and American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians.
Originally from Boston, Dr. Huppe now resides in Avon Lake, OH with her husband and her two rescue cats, Callie and Scruffy. When she isn’t working, Dr. Huppe enjoys tending her garden, bird watching, cycling, hiking and reading a good book.
