About Avon Lake Animal Clinic

Dr. John Simpson founded Avon Lake Animal Clinic as a mobile veterinary practice in 1963. Within two years, Dr. Simpson constructed a new home for the hospital on Miller Road. In 1995, Dr. Jim Haddad purchased the hospital and along with current partners, Dr. Frank Krupka, Dr. Julie Letosky and Dr. Jason Lamb, the clinic has grown to include eight veterinarians and 65 support staff members. While much has changed at the hospital, our focus on compassionate veterinary care and our commitment to your pet's health have remained constant.

Avon Lake Animal Clinic is one of the largest veterinary practices in Northeast Ohio, providing full-service care for cats, dogs, exotics, birds, reptiles and pocket pets. In addition to complete veterinary services, including preventive medicine, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, endoscopy, ultrasound and dentistry, we also offer boarding, daycare and grooming services. Our hospital features a state-of-the-art in-house laboratory and 24-hour emergency care. Although our facility features the latest veterinary medical technology, we still believe in the old-fashioned principles of compassion and caring.

Avon Lake Animal Clinic is certified by the American Animal Hospital Association, a designation achieved by a very small percentage of animal hospitals in the country. AAHA is the world's leading association of companion animal practitioners. To maintain AAHA certification, our hospital must pass comprehensive inspections of our facility, medical equipment, records and management.
